Privacy

Most privacy policies are long because they are describing collection. This one is short for the opposite reason.

Your files

Files you open in these tools are read into your browser's memory and processed there. They are not transmitted anywhere, not stored anywhere, and are discarded when you close the tab. This is not a promise about our conduct — the site has no server component that could receive a file. See how to verify.

Analytics and cookies

There are none. No analytics script, no tracking pixel, no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting. Nothing on this site attempts to identify you or count you.

We do look at aggregate search statistics that Google and Bing publish to site owners — which search terms led people here, and how many clicked. That data is assembled by the search engines from their own logs, is only ever shown to us as totals, and involves no code on this site.

Third parties

The site loads no fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from anyone else's servers. That is partly a privacy decision and partly what makes the tools work offline.

Two exceptions, both of which require you to deliberately click away from here:

Server logs

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub processes the requests needed to serve pages, and its own privacy practices govern that. We have no access to those logs and receive no visitor data from GitHub beyond public repository statistics.
